Coach Profile
Coach Wonser is a 1987 graduate of St. Mary’s Springs High School in Fond du Lac, WI. During high school he participated in football, basketball, and tennis.
After graduating high school Coach Wonser attended UW Fond du Lac for two years were he continued playing basketball. During his freshman year he was a key member of the 1987-88 team which finished first in the WCC and second in state for the WJCAA tournament. In 1993 Coach Wonser became an assistant varsity and head junior varsity coach for Oakfield High School’s football teams. In 1994 he became the head freshman boy’s basketball coach.
He was also an assistant coach for the varsity boy’s basketball team which finished second in state for the WIAA Division 4 tournament. In 1995 Coach Wonser became the head coach for the UW Fond du Lac women’s basketball program. He was named coach of the year during the 2001-02, 2002-03 and again during the 2005-06 season.
Going into his 13th season coaching, Coach Wonser has a great winning coaching style which involves the development of leadership, discipline, pride and confidence while not forgetting the importance of having fun. Coach Wonser is a resident of Fond du Lac with his wife Allison, and their two children, Devin Emily and Treston Michael.

the second place trophy at the WJCAA
State Tournament, finishing as the
2007-2008 conference runner up and
winning the WJCAA Regional III
Championship.

The UW-Fond du Lac women's basketball
team advanced to the WJCAA State
Championship game for the first time in
25 years; they ended up losing to MATC
(Madison) in the Championship game, but
still brought home a second place trophy
(2nd best team in the state!)
The ladies had an outstanding run at
the end of their season (Runner-up in
Conference and Runner-up in State).
