UW-Fond du Lac hosts one-stop tailgate party for prospective students

Fond du Lac, Wis.—The University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac invites prospective students to a “Tailgate Party” complete with snacks, beverages and all of the information needed to start college either for this fall or spring semester.

A team of advisors will be in the UW-Fond du Lac main parking lot, 400 University Dr., 4-7 p.m. on two Thursdays, Aug. 16 and Aug. 23, with application, admission, financial aid, academic and career information.

“It’s not too late to sign up for fall classes,” said Linda Reiss, assistant campus dean for student services. “The tailgate party is a fun way to introduce people to the college experience while they learn about what UW-Fond du Lac has to offer.”

Classes begin on Sept. 4. UW-Fond du Lac’s tuition has been frozen at last year’s rate and is $2,134 per semester, or $4,268 per year.

“Reservations aren’t needed, only the motivation to get started,” she added. “It’s going to be a very informal - yet very informative - event.
