 UW System Board of Regents
approves tuition freeze for UW-Fond du
Lac students
Proposal extends tuition freeze at UW-Fond
du Lac for the second consecutive year and sets
$265 annual increase for students at most
four-year campuses
Fond du Lac, Wis. – For the second
consecutive year, University of Wisconsin-Fond
du Lac tuition will remain at 2006 rates this
fall.
This is the result of a tuition freeze which
the UW System Board of Regents approved at their
meeting on June 5.
UW System President Kevin P. Reilly recommended a budget based on the state’s 2007-09
biennial budget; approved last year with
bipartisan support. Reilly’s budget
freezes tuition for students enrolled at
UW-Fond du Lac and 12,500 resident students at
all of the 13 freshman-sophomore
UW Colleges
campuses.
The tuition at UW-Fond du Lac will remain at
$4,268 for 2008-09. This is approximately $800
less than the four year comprehensive campuses
including UW-Oshkosh and $2,300 less than the
tuition at UW-Madison and UW-Milwaukee.
UW-Fond du Lac Dean Daniel Blankenship
applauds the Board of Regent’s
commitment to
UW-Fond du Lac students.
“Amidst rising prices, this tuition freeze
will give students an unprecedented opportunity
to pay tuition at 2006 rates,” said Blankenship.
“With this tuition freeze in place for fall 2008
our long-held reputation as the most affordable
choice for a high quality accessible UW
education in Fond du Lac is reaffirmed.”
UW-Fond du Lac is accepting
