Visual Art Gallery
The UW-Fond du Lac Visual Arts Gallery has
hosted numerous displays by local and
internationally recognized artists.
Previous exhibits:
“Project Space: Learning to Inhabit the
World in a Better Way” by the artist Kathryn
E. Martin. Martin's exhibit revisited many
of the critical aesthetic theories that
inform art making today. The piece combines
the treatises that she read, reread, and
continues to think about; framed drawings
stacked in the center of the display; and
photographic exploration attempting to find
instances in the everyday where the theories
are at work.
Marc Tasman, who has spent much of the
past year on a campaign to officially change
the design of the American flag to better
reflect post-9/11 realities displayed his
work "Proposal for The New American Flag:
Representing a New Constellation" at the UW
– Fond du Lac Visual Art Gallery, as a
follow-up exhibition of an exhibition of
work by seven artists who received Greater
Milwaukee Foundation's Mary L. Nohl Fund
Fellowships for Individual Artists in 2006.
