ACT Strategies Prep Class

Prepare for the ACT assessment exams just in time for the ACT testing dates! Areas to be covered during the four session course include: test-taking strategies, English, writing, reading, math, and science. You will also have an opportunity to take two practice exams and receive the results in time to brush up before the exam dates. All areas covered will include both content and test taking strategies. Tutor: Liz Quant
Does your daughter struggle in math? Any middle or high school girl qualifies for free math tutoring until her graduation from high school! Free drop in tutoring, study skills and peer mentoring are offered. The GMO Center is a very supportive place dedicated to helping girls succeed on both a personal and an academic level. Tutoring will be provided by Liz Quant, a math major at UW-Oshkosh. Fee: FREE and includes snacks, beverages, and bus tokens. Sponsored by NEWAHEC (Northeast Wisconsin Area Health Education Center)

About Liz Quant ~ Originally from Lomira, Liz graduated from Lomira High School where she was the class of 2006 valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA. Her freshman year of college was at UW-Green Bay, her sophomore year was at UW-Fond du Lac, and senior year will be at UW-Oshkosh. Since 7th grade she has been two years ahead in math. Her major in college is math and she is thinking about a career in financial advising. In her free time she enjoys music, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
Suzuki Violin

Children learn to play the violin using the ‘Mother Tongue approach’ (also known as the Suzuki Method) developed by Shinichui Suzuki. Parents are an integral part of this method as they are required to attend weekly private and group lessons with their children, learn to play the ‘Twinkle’ variations, play the recorded music daily and practice with their children daily. Each student will receive a weekly private lesson and a group class lesson. There will be recitals and opportunities to play for the public.
Fee for the 26 week program:
30 minute private lessons - $550
45 minute private lessons - $775
60 minute private lessons - $1,000.
